Pabst Patent Group is pleased to announce that Rivka Monheit was appointed to serve as Vice Chair of the ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law’s Patent Legislation Committee. The ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law is the largest organization of intellectual property lawyers in the world and has over 25,000 members.

The Patent Legislation Committee oversees and assists in the development of ABA policy on pending federal legislation relating to U.S. patent laws or affecting U.S. patent rights. Previously, Rivka served as a member of this Committee and helped draft and pass Resolutions relating to Obviousness type Double Patenting in view of the America Invents Act and clarifications to how to calculate Patent Term Adjustment. Rivka was recently appointed to serve as the Vice Chair for the Patent Legislation Committee during the 2015-2016 bar year.
